Plus 13 and raining when driving in.

Lights on in the mornings now and the evenings have gone.. well by the time I take the dogs out at night it is dark.. It feels like autumn is here and the forecasted heatwave is where?

Monday morning and the start of a new week.. More horses return this week and staff likewise.

David Bass was in again this morning.. He is going to be so fit when he starts race riding again..

The sporting world will miss the Olympics.. They have been magnificent..

Team GB came home with  65 medals, 22 gold, 21 silver and 22 bronze which equalled London 2012.... On a serious note have you ever seen so many young being so proud to represent their country. Proud to represent Great Britain.. I wish others would feel the same.

The Olympics now move to France in 3 years time.

A golfer sliced a ball into a field of chickens, striking one of the hens and killing it instantly. He was understandably upset, and sought out the farmer. “I’m sorry,” he said, “my terrible tee shot hit one of your hens and killed it. Can I replace the hen?”

“I don’t know about that,” replied the farmer, mulling it over. “How many eggs a day do you lay?”
