10th June 2017

Plus 13 and damp when driving in.

Four days away and we returned to a divided country.. what a shocker..hard to believe, but one must wonder where now?

Four days away and two winners which is always good to hear and see.

I have never been to Italy (Tuscany) before and now I wish we had. What a stunning country.

Flying in and out of Pisa we stayed out first night in a B&B in Bibbona and then moved onto a hotel just outside where we joined Martin and Kate Fetherston-Godley. We toured the odd vineyard and ate some pretty good food and found a restaurant in Bibbona to remember.

Back here to find that mostly things have gone well.. Horses out at grass as I mentioned earlier in the week always cause problems.

David Bass and Tom Bellamy were in this morning although again not much happening.

Melvyn Wright and Gary Phillips were here this morning. Gary used to be involved in Midnight Oscar some seasons ago so it was good to see him again.

Peter and Fiona Woodhall were also here to see their KBRP horses Chateau Robin and Knockanrawley.

Another rare runner on the flat tomorrow. Milord heads to Goodwood and for my thoughts on his chances please click here.

Back home now so lets have a blonde joke to celebrate..

A blonde pushes her BMW into a service station.  She tells the mechanic it died.

After he works on it for a few minutes, it is idling smoothly.

She says, 'What's the story?'

He replies, 'Just crap in the carburettor'

She asks, 'How often do I have to do that?'

Have a great wekend and see you on Monday.
