Plus 16 and dry when driving in. Very mild..Rain around. Needed but probably not in Scotland!

That was a good result at Huntingdon yesterday.. Mikhailovich bolted up and proved the handicapper was right.. again!

Mat had a very nervous time making the call to run after walking the course.. It was quicker than we had hoped for, but the jockeys who rode in the first felt it was safe..

Anyway I was 'thrilled' for the aptly named 'The Thrill Seekers'..Phil and Gill Andrews, Robert and Nicola Baillie, Stuart Ballantyne, Peter Band and Wendy Prince, Ian and Jo Brotherton, Jim and Lynda Clark, Graham Cooper, Ernie Gaskin, Alan James, Peter and Olive Smith and Colin Stewart…. They have been very patient with this horse and they deserve their success..

Another success for one of Peter Kerr's KBR syndicates, although David won by too far.. wing mirrors!!

Sadly I was not there, although judging by the fact that Richard Chugg had to break the news on how much my overall insurance is going up I wish I was!..

I really do wonder how some trainers are going to be able to pay these huge price rises.. Yes you can cut back on overall insurance, but Employers Liability is part of our trainers licences. And without it you are not allowed to train...

Every trainer in England and Ireland seems to looking for staff... as are Farmers, Restuarants, builders, Pubs and so on.. yes it seems to be that every section of any industry is currently looking..
