Plus 11 and raining when driving in.

WOW another good day in the office..Two winners at Warwick

Brilliant for Penny Perriss to have a good winner and a potentially nice horse.

Penny along with husband John have been mates of mine for a along time and are the most loyal of supporters, so a winner for either of them is always good news.

Station Master was almost a last chance saloon horse as poor Penny has not been the luckiest of owners .. so many things have gone wrong with her horses over the years that she was beginning to wonder if she was just an’ unlucky owner..‘

Aiden Murphy and I bought Station Master for her at Goffs Doncaster Sales in May and we were hopeful that he would do the job..Yesterday he started to do just that. Penny’s other horse Wandrin Star runs tomorrow at their ‘favourite’ track Ffos Las..Apparently they serve a cracking Sunday lunch..

Diamond Gait was our other winner and that was in the lucky last, the bumper.

Norman Carter has two horses of his own here and both have now won a 2 miles flat race with in the last week. Diamond Gait who was bred just up the road from here by Lizzie Wills and Sunblazer are Normans two horses. Sunblazer won at Newmarket last week and Diamond Gait yesterday so a really good week for Norman.

4 winners in two days.. exhausting but just in case you thought I would be celebrating long into the night you would have been right, but I was hobbling around Warwick yesterday having buggered up my knee and on seeing somebody on the way home they sent me straight to A&E in Cheltenham with a suspected Deep vein thrombosis (DVT)..

Some hours later and after blood testes etc I was sent home in one piece and no I don’t have a DVT.. But that little visit stopped any thoughts of partying last night..

The Racing Post said that the reason for all our success (or as they rudely put it resurgence)  was down to our new feed.. Dodson and Horrell.. Of course it has helped but we are lovely horses and fit horses.. Feed is important but having changed it is always a worry, but winners stop that. Resurgence.. hate that.. I did not know we had been going badly!

Saturday morning and David Bass was in to ride work and jump a few.

John Webber and Richard Sheppard were here first lot to see their horse Robin the Raven. Kevin Clancy called in third lot to see his horse Two For Gold.

We also had Gary and Heidi Parker and Richard and Jen Edwards who bought a Morning on the Gallops for charity and Maurice Molloy and Ron North from CD Tours.

We have two runners over the weekend.. Charbel heads to Wincanton today while Wandrin Star to Ffos Las Tomorrow. For my thoughts on all their chances please click here.

Shan Cook has been practicing her golf and to see how she has been getting on click here to watch.

You might want to see this horse who is for sale.. he is well worth buying as he has been showing plenty at home and nearly ready to run..Click here to see..

Have a great weekend and see you on Monday.
