Plus 7 and dry when driving in...

That was a bugger.. Huntingdon being off yesterday meant that First Flow’s season target has been missed… Now where? Probably no chance of rerouting the Peterborough Chase so now it looks like Kempton the day after Boxing Day.. The Desert Orchid Chase

Take a bow Libby O'Flaherty for getting Chepstow on after all that rain.. The ground was heavy, but I have seen it far heavier there in the past. There are not many better clerks than Libby.

Our runners were rather in and out.. The ins were Sprucefrontiers who ran to his Plumpton form to finish 4th.. probably should have finished 3rd but he lacked a bit of company and Magical Escape who lived up to his name and ran a blinder to finish second.. His future was looking a little on the bleak side after three slightly below expected runs.. Not quite last chance saloon but a good run was needed to keep his team of owners happy and Saturday he did just that… As I said in my thoughts.. he needed to cop on.. he did!

The outs of Saturday were Two For Gold and Hurlerontheditch who both ran below par.. something will come to light..all our Saturday runners looked absolutely marvellous in their coats in the paddock...

The journey home from Chepstow was very tiresome.. so slow to hit the M5.. so annoying when you queue and somebody tries to barge in .. road rage would not have helped!

Shocking cricket from England.. Beaten by the West Indies  team.. ODI final..

With no racing yesterday Clare, I and Archie went to Bristol.. Archie's car broke down on Friday so he needed a lift back to work.

My office internet was done all weekend.. It actually went down when we had all here for breakfast on Saturday... Gigaclear....Very frustrating, but thankfully the problem seems to be sorted as it is working this morning which is a relief for all here!

Monday morning and we have just the one runner at Lingfield. Moonlighter heads there and for my thoughts please click here.

Craig Granger was here with his father Cyril third lot to see his KBRS horses Jack Hope and Reallynthruthfully

I am talking on BBC Gloucester Radio this evening at 7..Discussing Cheltenham..

Best of friends, Rabbi Schwartz and Father O’Malley were enjoying lunch.

Father O’Malley put down his ham and cheese sandwich and commented, “This sandwich is so good! Kosher dietary restrictions made sense in ancient times, but when are you going to join the modern age and eat delicious, wholesome food like this?

Without missing a beat, Rabbi Schwartz replied, “At your wedding.”

To finish on a couple of missed birthday mentions.. Firstly Phil Case on Saturday.. Phil even brought a botle of bubbly to celebrate but fankly we were rather rushed/busy to open..

Secondly staff member Will Hodkinson yesterday, along with his hero NJH..
