Plus 10 and dry when driving in.. We had some very heavy showers yesterday followed by a very rough, windy night.

Thursday is our easy day. Graham Potts our vet was in for a visit.

Davy Russell has come out of retirement to ride again to Gordon Elliott.. Stable jockey Jack Kennedy broke his leg on Sunday.

Elfie Cracroft-Eley made a first visit to Thorndale.

Norman Carter who was here yesterday asked Open AI to write a blog post for me in the style of Shakespeare.. see below

Upon the fields so green and fair,  Where hooves doth pound the grassy air

The art of jumping doth appear, As riders guide their steeds so dear.

With Kim Bailey at the lead, A master of the jump, indeed

His horses fair, with strength and grace, Their skill and power doth set the pace

The course is set with fences high, A test of both horse and riders try

But under Bailey’s watchful eye, Victory doth not seem far awry.

You can tell that was not written by me!!

Norman also asked Open AI for suitable song lyrics for David Bass to sing at this years 2000trees Festival..

Verse 1. Riding on the back of a thoroughbred David Bass, the jump jockey, never one to be led. With a left wing heart, he takes the lead.  A vegan, always pushing to succeed

Chorus.. David Bass, riding for the win. With the course of a lion, let the race begin jumping over fences, pushing to the Top. Earning the respect, never gonna stop.

Verse 2. In the stable, he stands tall. A voice for the underdogs, never letting them fall. With the power of his mount, he races on fighting for whats right, never gone

Chorus.. David Bass, riding for the win. With the course of a lion, let the race begin jumping over fences, pushing to the Top. Earning the respect, never gonna stop.

Outro… David Bass, the jockey with a cause. Fighting for whats right, never taking a pause. A vegan with a heart of gold Racing for the line, never growing old.
