Drinks and a chat with members of the Turf Club’s racing owners and supporters. Nick Cheyne heads the Turf Club's Racing commitee and hosted the evening.

The Turf Club trainers who included Nicky Henderson (Tell It To Me), Jamie Snowdon (Lostnfound), George Baker (Highway One), and Jonathan Portman (Mrs Danvers) all talked about their horses and plans for their horses. Sadly when it came to my turn I was not able to say much about the future as Pulling Power’s lease has expired.. I am actively looking for a replacement to lease to the Turf Club for this coming winter.

TNDGB talked about his horse Highway One for sometime which reminded us what a good orator he is, even when off the booze.. He also looks several years younger.. a good remedy..

I took Michael and Mary Dulverton's  Call Claude home to Batsford this morning which gave me an excuse to then drive on to Warwick so that I could walk their course.. They race there on Saturday.

Worcester starts its summer racing season today although we don’t have any runners.

I received the following email yesterday ’’Going to Ffos Las in May in the sunshine doesn't really count. You have to be balanced on the duckboards in the parade ring with horizontal rain to really experience Ffos Llas.’’ Having read that perhaps I will stick to the summer..
