Plus 14 and dry when driving in. A very hot week ahead..

A great weekend of sport.. whatever kind you enjoyed there was something to watch.

Racecourses complaining that crowds were down again.. sadly it is not surprising as currently I know so many people with Covid... you have to wonder why it is so easy to catch.. going out in public? But some I know who are currently laid low with it have not really been out that much..

Anyway going back to lack of crowds on racecourses, Covid might be a reason, but frankly with such good sport TV why would you venture out??.. And it is costly, although judging by the heavy traffic on the roads you wonder!! And by the number of tents left in the fields after the 2000trees Festival.

We ventured out yesterday.. we called in to see Jim and Melinda Wilson on the way to Bristol to watch Archie play cricket.. Gerard Nock was also at the Wilson enjoying their excellent pink wine..

Archie starts a 4 day game for Gloucestershire seconds against my birth county Essex at The Colchester and East Essex Cricket Club today.. I will be venturing down on Wednesday afternoon and staying overnight with Wawick and Karen Newbury.. I have not been back to Colchester since I was born!

All the horses still turned out down at Andovesford are returning to the yard this morning.. Too hot and the flies are now driving them mad..

We have a meeting with Lois Gill of Cotswold Film Company mid morning.. Their latest promotional KBR staff video is nearly ready..Time for an update..

Conversation cropped up yesterday about taking excercise..

On doctors orders Gerard has to take on some sport, so he decides to play tennis.

After a couple of weeks his secretary asks him how he’s doing.

“It’s going fine, but When I’m on the court and I see the ball speeding towards me, my brain immediately says, ‘To the corner! Back hand! To the net! Smash! Go back!'” “Really?''

What happens then?” the secretary asks.

“Then my body says, ‘Who? Me? You must be kidding!”
