Plus 10 and dry when driving in.

Huntingdon was not my normal happy hunting ground yesterday. The ground was faster than expected and King Simba just would not let himself down on it....?

I had a dire journey there as the M6 was gridlocked and it took just under 3 hours.. I was on the racecourse for half and hour having arrived when the horses were at the start; the homeward journey took just over 2 hours.. less traffic.

Clare and I had a meeting in Cheltenham last night, and then we found out that Prithvi had a cancellation.

We have failed on numerous times to get a table at this award wnning resturant and last nights food reminded us why you need to book well in advance.

Fine dining at its best and if you are ever lucky enough to go ask Jay Rahman, who owns and runs the restaurant, to select the wine for every course, you will be surprised as to what type of win you drink and what country it comes from. It is a dining experience not to be missed and Jay knows his wines.

That's yesterday done

David Bass and Ed Bailey were in to ride work this morning. We worked many. A video can be seen here.

Talking riding work; I would like to add that I have been doing this job for some time now, but in all my years I have never employed such good riders and such good staff. I am incredibly lucky.. there is not a single member of my staff who is not capable of riding work to a high standard. We have a great team here.. Yes I am lucky.

Michael and Gerry Worcester was here third lot to see his two horses Shaluna and Coco Des Champs.

Richard and Sara Fabian were here late morning to see their horses Ascotdeux Nellerie and Chateau Robin.

Chris Rea from TCEH was in after second lot to do some random trachea washes and on those who have entries this week.

Tonight I am heading to London and the RAC Club..

Colin Cameron has asked me to talk after dinner…not about cars..I believe I will see some faces I should recognise.

Peter Kerr is going with me.

Lessons in life from the Cinema. From Ian and Jenny.

Things that going to the Cinema should have taught you:

Large, loft-style apartments in New York City are well within the price range of most people - whether they are employed or not.

At least one of a pair of identical twins is born evil.

Should you decide to defuse a bomb, don’t worry which wire to cut. You will always choose the right one.

Most laptop computers are powerful enough to override the communications system of any invading alien society.

It does not matter if you are heavily outnumbered in a fight involving martial arts; your enemies will wait patiently to attack you one by one dancing around in a threatening manner until you have knocked out their predecessors.

When you turn out the light to go to bed, everything in your bedroom will still be clearly visible, just slightly bluish.
