Plus 7 and pouring with rain when driving in.

Waterproofs needed here this morning for walking up the gallops...

Busy here this morning with Rebecca Hitchen, Andrew Smith, Peter Stevens, Rob Hill and Ivor Probert from CD Tours. Mark Loveridge and John Coulson also visited the yard for the first time and had breakfast.

Steve Winter, Paul Monger and their friend Alfredo were here second lot to see Derrintogher Bliss, Younevercall and Silver Kayf although he had already left for Uttoxeter.

Third lot Mark and Marion Hudson were here to see KBRP horses Milord, Younevercall, Bandon Roc and Un Ace, Tim Richardson and Julian to see Knockanrawley and Milord, Iain and Angie Bell to see their KBRP horse Silver Eagle, Knockanrawley & Our Belle Amie, John and Mandy Battershall to see Younevercall. Dave Miller called in to see his KBRP horse Desaray

Henry Kimbell was also here hosting a morning on the gallops for his Maggie's Charity Partnership who own Another Venture and Biscuit... 20 members called in to see their two horses

Philip and Sandra Arkwright who are involved in Racing For Maggies also own Texas Forever and Diva Reconce.

I am sure I have forgotten somebody..but due to the large number of owners coming and staff away racing not all will see their horses out on excecise...will try though to do my best..

The BHA caused problems yesterday when they did not split the 2mile 3 maiden hurdle at Uttoxeter. Having told us that they were going to they changed their minds as they only had 26 horses declared instead of 28.

I emailed Laval Noir's owners during the week to say they would definitely get a run, most of his owners changed their plans for the weekend .. Yesterday at 11am I emailed to say that he was ballotted out.. they understandably were not happy.. Sorry BHA more help on this matter is needed..

We tried hard to but at last nights Cheltenham Tattersalls Sales.. all three horse we tried on we were underbidder!! Big prices..tough sale.. happy vendors..

Thoughts to Ben Pauling after Barters Hill slipped the tendon off his hock.. He was jumping so well. Not good news..he could well race again.

David Bass was in for one lot.. he headed to Uttoxeter after.

We have runners at Uttoxeter, Cheltenham and Wetherby today. Un Ace goes to Cheltenham. Champion Chase, Alfies Choice and Silver Kayf head to Uttoxeter while Patsys Castle heads to Wetherby. For my thoughts on their respective chances please click here.
