Plus 15 and damp when driving in.

It was wet yesterday, but not as wet as forecasted.

Lords had a result, but many would not have bothered to go as the forecast on Saturday night for Sunday was dire..

I went on Saturday at the last minute.

Finishing here I caught the 12.44 from Banbury having picked up John Disney on the way and we spent a great afternoon watching cricket.. Bumped into David Martin (Charbel, Minella Warrior, Johnny Ocean and part of Gallows Point with Dan Hall). David and I watched his horse Porth Swtan win at Newmarket.. while downing a pint.. That’s cricket for you?

Talking winners .. If you were watching Newmarket on Saturday you might have seen Clive Washbourn celebrate in his usual flamboyant style after his horse Danceteria bolted up in the handicap.. Clive used to have jumpers here (I believe we won with every horse he had)….his celebrations are legendary, as are his post race interviews..

Sam Hoskins from Hot To Trot Racing was here early yesterday morning..They are thinking of branching into Jump racing..

What a great weekend for Lambourn trainer and ex jockey Jamie Osborne.. His daughter Saffie won a Gold Medal in the British Eventing Pony Team. Proud Dad..

Monday morning and again on the newly refurbished hill gallop.. we were very happy to be on it on Saturday.

To finish....We have one share left for sale in the stunning 3 year old gelding by Schiaparelli out of La Marette.. We like his full brother Prince Llywelyn which is the reason why I bought this chap.. he is lovely and a wonderful mover.. Click here for more details
