I don’t often find time to visit the Cheltenham Literary Festival but with no runners yesterday I popped over yesterday afternoon to listened to Ben Macintyre talk about his new book Colditz.. It was a very good way to spend an hour..

I still think his book A Spy and a Traitor is one of the best books I have read..

Last night Clare and Cilla Wills joined me to listen to William Hague.. He was excellent.. Packed audience and some very amusing political stories.. When he walked on stage for a second it sounded like Cornelius Lysaght was doing the interviewing.. it was not!

Tattersalls yearling sales continue.. It is now Book 3's turn and again very strong prices..
