Are we in for a dry spell and some spring like weather?

February 14 is Valentine's Day for those romantics amongst you..Caught Mat buying the last card in the garage.. just after me..

David and Karen Coombes were here for a 'morning on the gallops' followed by breakfast as purchased in an auction on Countryside Alliance race day at Cheltenham.

Tom Bellamy was in to ride out a couple of lots this morning.

Graham Potts our vet was in to test a few runners.

This weeks movers and shakers in the weekly BHA handicap charts are.. Abbreviate up 6 to 131, Aliandy up 2 to 121, Bandon Roc up 12 to 108, Battle Dust down 4 to 114, Derrintogher Bliss down 2 to 125, Fifty Bob up 2 to 102, Thedrinkymeister down 2 to 114 and Trojan Star down 2 to 105.

More importantly, today is when the Radox Health Grand National weights are due to be announced..

A glittering reception tonight at the V&A Museum in London with Sir AP McCoy and Ed Chamberlin comparing the evening.  Our entry The Last Samuri.. what weight will he get?. I hope 11.5… we shall see.

Robbyn Swann who was over from Ireland last week to see her son Fionn sent over a couple of copies of her books for me to read.. A Matter of Honour and  The Eleventh Day..Robbyn also suggested that they would make ideal door stops!..

Good news, the planning permission for our new gallop has finally been approved. We are putting in a 2 furlong round deep sand gallop this summer which will be a cracking addition to our excellent facilities.
