When it comes to National Hunt Mare the choices are Annie Power, Petite Gray, Vroum Vroum Mag and our own Emily Gray.. Clare is on the committee of the Home Farm Trust and on Thursday they have their Christmas Fair in Cirencester.. Clare's Mother Cilla started the Friends of Home Farm Trust about 35 years ago, and amazingly it has carried on since, with faithful friends and now Clare and friends... Please, if you are in the area do call in as all support is hugely appreciated.

We have three runners today at Southwell.. Aliandy, My Cousin Rachel and Cresswell Legend.. David Bass rides all three.. For my thoughts on their respective chances please click here..

Before I go today I would just to add a big thank you to Balthazar Fabricius of Fitzdares for offering our Racing For Maggies Charity Partnership the use his Box at Cheltenham on Saturday.

It was incredibly kind of Balthazar. Seriously it was an generous offer and much appreciated by all who are supporting Maggies.. Balthazar is a mate of TNDGB.. or rather TNDGB seems to be always having lunch with him.

Also from Cheltenham.. Sam Morshead was staying with us for the three days. Sam was seen signing many copies of his book Racing Through Life at the same table as Jilly Cooper who was also signing copies of her latest blockbuster Mount...whose book sold more copies I wonder? Both said theirs did!

Thinking Cheltenham.. It was a very long three days..

Like the Irish patient who hobbled into the Surgery waiting room...

"I hope to God the doctor finds something wrong with me because I'd hate to feel like this if I was well!"
