Plus 11 and dry when driving in.
Thursday is our easy day but not for Megeela and the Morozov gelding who worked.
Richard and Sara Fabian were here third lot to see their KBRP horses Shantou Express and Royal Supremo.
The ground at Exeter yesterday was faster than predicted and I suppose Sea Story being balloted out was a blessing as we would probably not have run..
I am heading to Ludlow early to walk the course before making a decision to run Diamond Gait in the first. I have total trust in Simon Sherwood calling of the ground, but it is a habit and one that needs feeding! It will be my first visit this winter.. I like Ludlow.
Anyway for my thoughts on Diamond Gait's chances please click here.
After Ludlow I am heading into Cheltenham and the racecourse to look at the horses that are coming up for sale after racing tomorrow.. The first Tattersall’s Cheltenham sale.. 50 odd horses mostly with Irish point to point form.
Chris Munro sent this one over....
My flight was being served by an obviously gay flight attendant, who seemed to put everyone in a good mood as he served us food and drinks.
As the plane prepared to descend, he came swishing down the aisle and told us that..
'Captain Marvey has asked me to announce that he'll be landing this big scary plane shortly, so lovely people, if you could just put your trays up, that would be super.'
On his trip back up the aisle, he noticed this well-dressed and rather Arabic looking woman hadn't moved a muscle...
'Perhaps you didn't hear me over those big brute engines, but I asked you to raise your trazy-poo, so the main man can pitty-pat us on the ground.'
She calmly turned her head and said...
'In my country, I am called a Princess and I take orders from no one.'
To which the flight attendant replied, without missing a beat,
'Well, sweet-cheeks, in my country I'm called a Queen, so I outrank you. Tray-up, Bitch!'
