Plus 9 and dry when driving in.
Yesterday did not produce a winner.. However much I hoped for one to start the week it was not to be.
Commodore Barry ran well for a long way then stopped rather quickly but I hope it was just a case of a gross horse coming back from a winter break. Sammeo ran well but was very green and inexperienced.. he found the whole day rather daunting… He will be a very different horse next time.
At Taunton Trwyn Du ran dissapointingly and Miss Gemstone is now heading for a non racing life ..
Sky News here filming in the yard last night.. The positive side of racing before the biggest racing Festival of the year..
12 months ago we were busy. 12 months on we are still here and busy, but wow so different!
It is going to be a Cheltenham Festival like no other.. a one off.. well I hope so..

I started my day early by taking Lord Apparelli and Talk Of the Moon for an away day… A good way to keep the nerves under control.
This weeks movers and shakers in the BHA handicap charts are .Ajero up 1 to 134, Espoir De Romay up 15 to 155, Hes No Trouble up 8 to 125, Party Fuzz has been given a mark 117, Prince Llywelyn down 1 to 107, Shantou Express up 6 to 140... Not sure the handicapper liked us this week!
We have only one runner today at Cheltenham.. Happygolucky heads there and for my thoughts on his chances please click here.
Mat and I will be passing on our thoughts on winners today and all the four days in fact.. It is 50/50 who offers the best advice!.. We are not tipping any of our runners!!
