Plus 15 and when dry driving in. We did have a drop of rain last night.. Not enough to lay the dust sadly..

Ajero has been confirmed at the 5 days for the Ebor at York on Saturday and at present he is number 34 of 48 but only the top 22 can run..A bit of luck needed to get in I fear..Failing that he will probably head to Sandown on the same day.

I do hope Ajero gets a chance to run at York, although I fear it is a long shot.. If you have never been to Yorks Ebor meeting then you need to go.. It is one of the best meetings of the year.

Cilla Wills 'popped in' during evening stables last night to see her KBRS horse Voyburg..

David Bass was in this morning..

Karen Masters was here third lot to see her KBRS horse Does He Know.

Silvia Wilkes was here third lot with her daughter Kirsty and Granddaughter Amy and baby Tom to see her KBRS horse Galante De Romay.

No vet in today and this weeks movers and shakers in the BHA handicap charts were..Blazon down 2 on the flat to 62 and Gerard Mentor also came down 2 to 91 over hurdles.

After second lot Clare and I headed off to Loughborough to watch Archie play for an England under 19 invitation game against Sri Lanka.. A three day game, and all being well we will be travelling up and down for the 3 days..

I was asked the other day to suggest a racing book to read and I had no hestiation in recommending Paul Mathieu's book The Druids Lodge Confederacy..

Sadly Paul is no longer with us but this book (he wrote many) is just excellent.. Paul loved his racing and was involved in shares with us for a while..
