Plus 4 and drizzling when driving in...

I spent most of yesterday on a farm walk in Northamptonshire with Colin, Dan and Julian Richmond-Watson…Interesting.

More interesting was the fact that I emailed 101 year old Patricia Ruck Keene to suggest I called in to see her on my way home..

Sadly she replied to say that she was too busy to see me!! Was I stood up?..Patricia said that her social diary was very full and sadly she had no time to fit me in..

Don’t you just love that.. Patricia you stagger me.. My diary is never that full and I am nearly half your age!!.. Good on you..Kick on..I will try again and give you more warning next time..

The first World Cup cricket semi finals India beat New Zealand.. Great game to watch. India through to the finals.. South Africa play Australia today..

Thursday is our easy day.. But we do have Kevin Clancy and Stephen Cannon here to see their two horses Two For Gold and Amazing Cleni.. Kevin also brought along Jerry and Elliot Mills for a first visit to Thorndale.. they are in the new May We Never Be Found Out syndicate that owns Amazing Cleni..

I was not here long before I rushed off to Taunton to saddle Lady Gwen.. Mat also left early to Market Rasen to saddle Mikhailovich and General Hubble.. For My thoughts on their chances please click here.

I will be leaving Taunton sharpish after LG’s race to head back to Cheltenham Racecourse to see the horses that sell tomorrow night after racing at the Tattersalls Cheltenham sale..
