Plus 7 sunny but very windy when driving in this morning, the storm is picking up..

A quiet day for Team Thorndale as we worked a few yesterday and have no runners today. Matt is off in Lambourn working a few there and I am on bacon sandwich duty today. Something which we introduced this season is #baconsandwichthursday where I make bacon rolls for all the staff to enjoy after riding out. It has been greatly recieved by all the staff and is a small way in which we can show our gratitude for their hard work.

I Spy A Diva ran very well in her first handicap but looked like she was quite one paced from three out. She will improve again over a step up in trip and slightly better ground.

I didn't manage to get a good enough answer from David yesterday with regards to his economical journey to Ayr other than that apparently he stayed at 60mpg.

I went for a night out in Bath last weekend and had dinner at The Mint Room which I would recommend if you are visiting. I can compare it to Prithvi in Cheltenham, very nice food and atmosphere.

When trying to book a table for a saturday night at Kibou recently, I had to go over two months before being able to get one for a decent time.... do these places book the main times out online in advance to make themselves look unbookable and popular?

Anyway back to my educational week of social media and hashtags, Thursdays choice would be #tbt which stands for Throwback Thursday and usually involves posting a picture of a past event or memory.
