You have to be so proud of Happygolucky’s great run to finish second in the Ultima Handicap Chase at Cheltenham yesterday.
I hate seconds and although he travelled like a winner all the way we were beaten by a better horse on the day.
Michael and Mary Dulverton were thrilled with their horse, and like all owners they were just so sad not to be there to pat him and say well done.

It was a very odd day and whatever Cheltenham did to help it was always going to feel very empty...I think I sat down after getting home with a headache.. was it due to the two litres of sparkling water consumed during the afternoon.. Nowhere on the racecourse could you add or find anything with ethanol.. Moonshine.. hardly..
