Plus 13 and dry when driving in.

What a weekend of sport..Football, Racing, Cricket and Wimbledon all brilliant.

My weekend was spent watching Archie play cricket and yesterday down in Bristol I was needed as a scorer.. something I have not done for many many years.. My scoring sheet certainly did not resemble one of the late Bill Frindall’s.. Concentration needed.. and no alcohol..

There was a horrid car crash at our crossroads heading to Andoversford yesterday morning..

It really is a dangerous crossing (A436) and watching cars turning this way last week heading to the 2000trees festival was not a pleasant sight..

Sadly it was always going to happen with so many cars leaving the festival early yesterday morning..Cars that come down the A436 from the M5 come down the hill at some speed and it is easy to miss judge them..

Monday morning and some very fresh horses which is good to see.

A few more horses coming back in this morning and more tomorrow.

Sally Grant called in late morning to see her KBRP horse Red River

I have a meeting with Cheltenham racecourse early this afternoon.. Simon Claisse and Ian Renton and others..

A few more questions that haunt..

Why does a round pizza come in a square box?

What disease did cured ham actually have?

How is it that we put man on the moon before we figured out it would be a good idea to put wheels on luggage?

Why is it that people say they 'slept like a baby' when babies wake up like every two hours?
