The weekend rain has ensured that Wincanton's race meeting will go ahead on Friday.. there was a huge doubt about it as it was firm last week, but 38 mm of rain landed on the course and that has saved the meeting.

Funny world.. Newton Abbot last week had to survive a inspection to see of their meeting could go ahead as the ground was heavy and 15 miles up the road Exeter was abandoned because it was too firm to race.

Sea Story and Diamond Gait had an away day this morning. Guy Disney was here to ride out two lots and jump Gallery Exhibition.

Carol Bailey was here second lot to see her KBRP horses Blazon and Mergella and her Racing For Maggies horse Another Venture  Gillian Atkinson and Kate Beim who both have shares in AV were here too.

Graham Potts was here for his weekly Tuesday visit and this week movers and shakers in the BHA handicap charts were..Dandy Dan up 5 to 132 and Rockys Treasure enters at 131
