Plus 8 and raining when driving in. 16mm ovenight..

It was actually a rather lovely day at friendly Warwick yesterday with really good racing.. Bar the fact that my three runners all performed well below expectations..No point making excuses and I just hope that they can improve and put those runs behind them next time..

Driving home from the races I had a chat to my oldest supporter in Patricia RK..

Dear Patricia is fast heading to another big celebration of 101.. An avid reader of my blog.. she says it is the first thing she reads every morning.. Mind you most news reading at the moment is pretty dire and todays news might not improve it… I fear a good joke needed to finish today?

It has been an odd week to say the least..but with a bit of luck the wheels will turn in the right direction before the end of it!

On that note we have just the one runner today at Market Rasen.. Mot Pout Mot heads there and for my thoughts please click here.

England are playing Australia in the first of the 3 ODI's... Not going well?

The Preacher and His Horse

A circuit-riding preacher trained his horse to go when he said, “Praise the Lord,” and to stop when he said, “Amen.”

The preacher mounted the horse, said “Praise the Lord,” and went for a ride in the nearby mountains.

When he wanted to stop for lunch by a mountain stream, he said, “Amen.”

He took off again, saying “Praise the Lord.”

The horse started heading toward the edge of a cliff on a narrow mountain trail. The preacher got excited and said, “Whoa!” Then he remembered and said, “Amen,” and the horse stopped just short of the edge.

The preacher was so relieved that he looked up to heaven and said, “Praise the Lord!”

I am behind a fire wall .. unless you subscribe or buy the paper..

Please don't worry if your horse is not mentioned.. I just answered the questions.

To finish.. Richie Forristal is so right today .. sadly he too lingers behind a firewallk.. But his thoughts on low sun make fine reading. Utterly Bonkers..
