Plus 5 and dry when driving in.

Dry makes up for what the rain gods threw at us yesterday at Ludlow and the surrounding area..

BUT that did not stop Another Venture jumping off in front and winning in some style..

David Bass has been itching to ride AV again and as usual David took the race by the scruff of the neck and made all.. jumping for fun, AV was impressive.

I am so delighted for Henry Kimbell who leads the Racing For Maggies team with such enthusiasm.. A percentage of the winning prize money will be heading to Maggies Cheltenham Cancer home which is so fitting..Especially as Henry is currently fighting the disease..

Yesterday Henry managed to escaped Addenbrookes Maggies Centre in time to watch AV’s great win….

Henry we are all wishing you well and we know this is a battle that will be like AV’s performance yesterday…won from the front.

George and Cynthia Dowty, Andy and Sandy Page, John and Veronica Full, Gillian Atkinson and Kate Beim were at Ludlow to support.

Getaweapon ran a blinder and was second.. Yes I hate being second but it was a very good run, while Trwyn Du was not so good in the bumper....

Ludlow were excellent yesterday.. Helpful and very accommodating..

Thursday morning means our easy day and I left early to spend the day at the Goffs Yorton Farm Stud Sales.. More huge prices?

We have a couple of runners today. Lady Of The Night heads to Exeter and Red River Heads to Hereford.. For my thoughts on their chances please click here.

Back to stable news.. Newtide will not be taking up his entry for The Welsh Grand National on December 27.. we feel it is a year too soon..

Sad news.. Annabel Buchan died yesterday.. Annabel was down here a couple of months ago to see her horses Grey Flint and Grey Felix.. Annabel's husband Iain, who died earlier this year,  had horses with me for over 25 years..

'We have such a long way to go,' said the boy

'Yes but look how far we have come,' said the horse
