Plus 9 and dry when driving in

A winner at Worcester…Destroytheevidence won really well in their novice hurdle.. a qualifier for their big race final in October..

Phil Andrews who had never been to Worcester before was mindful of my thoughts on the course but determined not be put off, so made the journey..

It was good that he did as it is important that owners should be there when they can, especially to see their horse win..

Destroytheevidence (I am sure you can guess why he is named that?) improved from his third at Kempton. This was only his second run over hurdles and certainly looks to be going the right way, which what we want to see. Delighted for Phil as he had a quiet time last season with his horses, so to start the new one off with a winner is good news..

Also good news was the fact that Rebecca Davies and Nessie Chanter were thrilled to see me.. as was Cornelius Lysaght, but no gossip this time..They are a very friendly bunch at Worcester..

Ajero ran a blinder at York.. The form book will say that he finished 11th but that was a big step forward from his last run and the jockey David Egan was on the phone immediately after the race asking to ride him at Royal Ascot….

Ajero went flat racing last season off the back of a seasons jumping and surprised us with his level of flat racing form.. This season he is starting in a very high grade, and no jumping, which is a very different kettle of fish…. He along with DTE are heading the right way.

York is probably the one racecourse you would pay to go to as a trainer.. I missed out yesterday.. It is a fabulous racecourse and you can never fail to enjoy racing there.. Harry Bailey joined Mat and the Martins for lunch.... I just hope the rumours are correct that they are going to start jump racing there next winter!!..

Sadly the same cannot be said for Galant de Romay.. she is not living up to her two brothers abilities..Espoir and Heros..

I saw Lois Gill of Cotswold Film Co at Worcester which reminded me that he wanted me to plug his website's CFC racing videos

No runners today and I am off to Martin Jones to see some young horses that he has been breaking in...Then on the way home  I will be poking my nose at the horses that sell on Friday at the Tattersalls Cheltenham Sales.

I don't often watch football.. But I was captivated by this game last night.

Bob Marley was once asked if there was a perfect woman.

He replied: Who cares about perfection? Even the moon is not perfect, it is full of craters. The sea is incredibly beautiful but salty and dark in the depths. The sky is always infinite, but often cloudy. So, everything that is beautiful isn't perfect, it's special.

Therefore, every woman can be special to someone.

Stop being "perfect", but try to be free and live, doing what you love, not wanting to impress others.
