Thursday is our easy day after most of the horses worked yesterday.

Down Royal is the latest racecourse to be shoved into turmoil.. Towcester has been narrowed down to 4 potential buyers which includes Arena Leisure while Musselburgh looks like it is sorting its problems.. who would own a racecourse!?

Atty Beor-Roberts hosted yesterdays ladies who lunched in aid of Cheltenham’s Maggies Cancer Care Home. It was very good lunch and I hope all went home happy after. Peter Hayter interviewed me for their after lunch chat....The new Maggie Cookbook was selling well..It included my Kedgeree recipe..One of my favourites..

I my Lambourn days we used to use this recipe regularly for breakfast until one owner from the East side of London turned up with his mates to see his horse and on sitting down for breakfast said ''what’s this? I have not come all this way to eat a bloody risotto for breakfast!''
