Plus 11 and dry when driving in.
Racing is a very tough sport at times and yesterday was one of those days when it really hits you..Losing a good young horse before his career really has a chance to flourish is so sad.
True Glory was a horse we all felt had a big future, but yesterday he lost his footing on the bend at Fakenham and fractured his pelvis in too high a place to be saved..
Michael and Mary Dulverton really cherished this young horse who they had in training for pointing last winter with Phil Rowley, and due to lockdown never ran. He had shown us that he was going to be good.
Deepest thoughts to The Dulverton's and Oliver Puffett who looked after him and to all who loved him here..There is no denying the sadness of losing a horse or any animal you love.
It is a long way to Fakenham and a very long way home when things go wrong.. Happygolucky finishing second would have been cheery on a good day, but not yesterday.
Happygolucky ran a blinder and was caught by the very talented Getaway Trump on a going day.
Rose To Fame left here for Ireland last night. She will now become a broodmare and be based with Harry Fowler at Rahinston Stud
An unhappy David Bass was in this morning along with Ciaran Gething and Harry Beswick
