Minus 7 and dry when driving in.
Frustrations could go by the board by next week, when the weather relents?
We have our usual Friday vet visit..
Big thrill of the day was having Charlie Fenwick here mid morning. Charlie and Danielle are over staying with Charlie's daughter Beth Garner.. Charlie rode the 1980 Grand National winner Ben Nevis....Listen.....Watch him win..
Emma beaten in the Australian Open as were most of the other Brits.. At least Cameron Norrie is through. Melbourne’s weather more like ours in the summer .. rain and wind!
My mate Martin F-G rather 'annoyingly' sent me photos from the base line in Emma’s match, and Norrie’s, and Boulter’s matches.. I hoped he is tennised out!
Racing off today.. Haydock Ascot and Taunton off tomorrow.. Lingfield hopeful for Sunday, as are Cocklebarrow..
Even if racing is off at Cocklebarrow the tent will still be in action.. It was last year and it was a huge success.. so even if no racing the fun will be there to be had?
I am always asked to do Cheltenham preview evenings.. Not my favourite way of spending an evening but I will attend them and sit on a panel if a charity benefits from all our time....Sadly I am not available to attend one at The Fox.. Neither is Mat..
Mentioning Cheltenham.. One of my owners who has a blue car label, has just purchased his tickets for the Cheltenham and Aintree festivals..Cheltenham charged him for his car pass while Aintree has not..Anybody else had that happen to them?
Mrs B, Archie and I went to the newly opened Mayflower Chinese restaurant last night.. Mrs B does not really do Chinese food because of the huge amounts of Monosodium glutamate.. No such worries last night.. Mrs B gave it the thumbs up..
Mat hopes to go and visit 'Sparky' Bevis today.. Signs are that he is improving poor chap..
My niece Clover's other half Tom Savage is heading to Ukraine this morning
More annoying English..
The insurance was invalid for the invalid.
There was a row among the oarsmen about how to row.
They were too close to the door to be able to close it.
The buck does funny things when the does are present.
A seamstress and a sewer fell into a sewer pipe.
