Plus 5 and raining when driving in.
One For Rosie was hugely impressive when winning his first start over fences at Leicester yesterday. A huge testament to Jason Maguire’s water treadmill facility..All at Ivy Lodge Farm love him..
Racing is I have said a funny world.. well certainly training is a fickle one.
Last week we well into the minus temperatures and having no winners.. in fact we were hardly running any and frankly keen not to as we were struggling to find any form..
A week on and temperatures have risen to well above being cold and so has the horses form.. Yesterdays winner One For Rosie was our 4th winner from our last 5 runners..
Friday morning and bar the fact that the yard tractor has again decided to get a leg and needs to see a mechanical version of our vet Graham Potts..This time sadly rest is not the cure!
Talking Graham Potts .. He was in for his Friday visit looking particularly pleased with himself..
We have no runners today.
BLIND COWBOY
An old blind cowboy wanders into an all-girl biker bar by mistake...
Hefinds his way to a bar stool and orders a shot of Jack Daniels.
After sitting there for a while, he yells to the bartender, 'Hey, you wanna hear a blonde joke?'...
The bar immediately falls absolutely silent.
In a very deep, husky voice, the woman next to him says, 'Before you tell that joke, Cowboy,I think it is only fair, given that you are blind, that you should know five things:
1. The bartender is a blonde girl with a baseball bat.
2. The bouncer is a blonde girl with a 'Billy-Club'.
3. I'm a 6-foot tall, 175-pound blonde woman with a black belt in karate.
4. The woman sitting next to me is blonde and a professional weightlifter.
5. The lady to your right is blonde and a professional wrestler.'Now, think about it seriously, Cowboy.... Do you still wanna tell that blonde joke?'
The blind cowboy thinks for a second, shakes his head and mutters, 'No...not if I'm gonna have to explain it five times............'
Probably not a suitable joke to celebrate Patricia Ruck Keene's 99th birthday.. I adore Patricia and sad that I cannot be with her to celebrate.. and she certainly knows how to.... Hopefully next year when we are back to normal Patricia.... Have a great day..xx
