Plus 16 and very muggy when driving in. Royal Ascot Day two

Royal Ascot was as always good racing and good company. Lunching with David and Julie Martin we were able to watch Eve Johnson-Houghton win her first Group One with Accidental Agent.. owned and bred by her parents.. a great result. Thrilled for Eve as she is hard working and a bloody good trainer..A good day for John Gosden and Willie Mullins and not so good for Aiden O’Brien.

While at RA, England broke all records to win their third ODI against Australia..

David Bass was in this morning and we worked Blazon, Sonneofpresenting, Net Work Rouge, Royal Supremo and Involve.

We have one runner this afternoon at Uttoxeter.. General Picton runs over fences for the first time in a 5 horse race and for my thoughts on his chances please click here.

Clare and Archie away in Greece for a few days.. celebrating Archie passing his common entrance.. Archie is never one for doing things by half and no sooner than they arrived I received a text from Clare to say it was raining and they were in hospital .. Damaged finger.. nothing to worry about…not his bowling hand? I forgot to ask!!

Marriage part one..

Typical macho man married typical good-looking lady, and after the wedding, he laid down the following rules:

'I'll be home when I want, if I want and at what time I want -- and I don't expect any hassle from you.

I expect a great dinner to be on the table unless I tell you that I won't be home for dinner.

I'll go hunting, fishing, boozing, and card-playing when I want with my old buddies, and don't you give me a hard time about it.
Those are my rules. Any comments?'

His new bride said: 'No, that's fine with me. Just understand that there will be sex here at seven o'clock every night...whether you're here or not.'
