Plus 8 and dry when driving in. Royal Asccot day 4.
Not a good night at Ffos Las.
It is with great sadness that I have to report that Little Chunk was fatally injured when he fell 3 from home last night. So sad.. Sad for his owner Gary Tardi who loved him and for the staff here who did too.
Our other runner Chateau Robin ran a blinder to finish second..
You know how I hate being second and this one was especially annoying.. The horse that beat us was thrown in on old form and had been rejuvenated by winning three good point to points including the prestigious Lady Dudley Cup..
Poor Chateau Robin (and of course his owners) so deserved to win..Another good run and another placed effort..and one the handicapper will I am sure be generous with!
In other news, another good day for John Gosden and Frankie Dettori, Aiden O'Brien ,American trainer Lesley Ward and a first for Simon Crisford ..all had winners at RA yesterday..
and England again won their latest ODI over Australia..
Summer soltace and 9500 people hanging around Stonehenge.. winters coming!!
No joke today.. not in the mood..
