Plus 5 and dry when driving in.

Cheltenham was rightly packed yesterday. Great racing, although we failed to have a winner.

Our runner Dueling Banjos missed the break but recovered to then travel like a good one, only to then leave his hind legs in the water jump.. he managed to get back into the race again but he failed to climb the hill.. Water jump mistakes are not that common but can be very uncomfortable.. nasty.

Last nights Tattersalls Sale at Cheltenham was awesome..well it was if you were selling a horse who perhaps had won a point to point in Ireland. Staggering prices and I just wonder how long it can be sustained… Top prices was aptly named Know the Score at £380,000.00 but there were plenty making over 100K.. We came home with a 5 year mare by Scorpion.. called Agent Memphis.. yes she is for sale..

Interestingly Peter Kerr who runs all my KBRP's has nearly sold all of Commodore Barry.. if he had been in at last nights sale he would have made twice what we paid for him at Goffs in May.. If interested in buying that last share please contact Peter..

Busy here this morning. David Bass and Tom Bellamy in to ride out a couple of lost before heading to Cheltenham.

We jumped Sainte Ladylime.

Louise Cape, Paul Halliday, Randolph Rann, Mark Partridge, Lynne and Stephen Smith, Chris Adamson, Malcolm Woods and Terry Mead were here for a morning on the gallops followed by breakfast as booked through CD Tours.

Norman Carter was here to see his two horses Sunblazer and Diamond Gait and his KBRP horse Milord.

Steve Adams, Simon Crank, Andrew Stockton were here to see the KBRP horses Silver Kayf, Deseray and Pond Road

John and Mandy Battershall to see their KBRP horse Involve

Tim Richardson called in to see his KBRP horses Knockanrawley and Pond Road.

Chris Hill and Geof Irvine called in to see their KBRP horse Vinndication while Karen Masters her KBRP horses Kayf Storm and Knockanrawley.

Scott Thompson's parents Trevor and Lynne were here third lot to visit the yard before going racing.. their day was a 30th wedding present from Scott.

That should keep me busy before I drive our two runners to Cheltenham.

Yes runners today. Sainte Ladylime at Uttoxeter with Sean Bowen having his first ever ride for us. Our Belle Amie at Wetherby and Rocky’s Treasure and Robin The Raven at Cheltenham,. For my thoughts on their chances please click here.
We have no runners tomorrow.

Mike Thorne sent this note over yesterday..''Re the Ashes the Aussie Wicketkeeper played for Banbury in the Home Counties league, have a read of the Times today cricket page, fascinating article. Keep up the good results, your horses are humming, full of goodness, like a barrow full of dung on a frosty morning.''

To finish.. somebody's life summed up in 3 seconds

Have a good weekend and see you on Monday.
