His proud owner Phil Andrews was at Market Rasen to watch his boy win and the delight on his face said it all..

Mat was right.. the ground was ideal, and David did his bit by being his positive best..

It was good to watch and I was at home while my sky repair team were sorting out my TV problems.. (a wasp nest in my sky box had burnt it out).. The yelling from me made them realise that a winner means a great deal.. Well done Team Thorndale..

Friday morning and a charity breakfast and morning on the gallops.. I donated todays morning to a Charity auction at Brickhampton Golf Centre helping to raise funds for Motor Neurone Disease.. Supporting Name’5 Doddie Foundation which was set up by famous Scottish International Rugby player Doddie Weir.. Anyway our guests were Shaun Painting, Neil Carpenter and Dave Sollis..

A few weeks ago I put a request out for name suggestions for a new horse by Blue Bresil out of Youngstar, the horses name has now been chosen, Alnitak, congratulations to Paul Beckwith... Alnitak is a blue star in Orion’s Belt.

We have no runners today.

A man was sitting quietly reading his paper one morning, peacefully enjoying himself, when his wife sneaks up behind him and whacks him on the back of his head with a huge frying pan.

Man: “Ow! What was that for?”

Wife: “What was that piece of paper in your pants pocket with the name Marylou written on it?”

Man: “Oh honey, remember two weeks ago when I went to the horse races? Marylou was the name of one of the horses I bet on.”

The wife looked all satisfied, apologized and did some work around the house.

Three days later, he’s sitting in his chair again, reading the newspaper.

She whacks him with the frying pan once again, this time even harder than she did before

Man: “OW!! What was that for this time?”

“Your horse just called.”
