20th January 2018

Plus 3 and raining when driving in.

An interesting day yesterday with The Cotswold Film Company.. They shot (in film terms) plenty of horses and action on both hill and round gallops.. and they will be producing a short sharp staff promo video to go out on Monday.. you will see first..

Supper last night with John and Penny Perris at The Chequers.. as always it was excellent.

Sonneofpresenting returned from his winter break with Jason Maguire looking in great shape.. A good summer ahead for him we hope.

Back to today.

David Bass was in for a couple of lots before heading to Haydock. Racing at Haydock is ON..

Paul Smith was here for a morning on the gallops and breakfast.. I hope he did not feel too lonely..

We have a busy day runner wise if it all goes ahead.

3 runners at Haydock where Mat heads.. First Flow, Knockanrawley and Lake Field and 2 at Ascot where I am heading.. Sainte Ladylime and Vinndication and for my thoughts on all their chances please click here.

Tomorrow as we have no runners I am heading to Ealing as a guest on Nick Luck's Sunday Racing UK programme.. ‘Luck On Sunday’..

As I am doing the above please don’t expect a Sunday morning email about your horse.. you will get one later in the day, all being well..

Talking Nick Luck again.... Nick, Mat Nicholls, Jonathon Neeson and I will be doing a 'Mark Your Card' Cheltenham preview on the Monday night (March 12) before the Festival at Sam Pearman's new pub The New Inn at Coln.. Same old format but new venue.. should be fun.. usually is..

Father Murphy was walking down the street one day when he noticed a very small boy trying to press a doorbell on a house across the street.

However, the boy was very small and the doorbell was far too high for him to reach.

After watching the boys efforts for some time, the minister moved closer to the boy's position, and gave the doorbell a solid ring.

As he crouched down to the child's level, the minister smiled benevolently and asked, "And now what, my little man?"

To which the boy replied, "Now we run!"

Have a great weekend and see you on Monday..dont watch..
