20th February 2021

Plus 9 and raining when driving in.

Some difference from this time last week when it was freezing with a bitterly cold biting wind.

Marcus Townsend here late morning yesterday to talk Cheltenham

Owners Videos done last night, and charity zoom meetings..exhausting!!

I bumped into Norman Babbage when picking up my papers this morning. We discussed horses as normal and then we talked about First Flow and I reminded him that the last good two mile chaser I had I bought off his Dad.. Spinning Saint..

David Bass, Ciaran Gethings, Chester Williams and Harry Beswick were all in this morning..

We have two runners today and two tomorrow.

Today..Newtide heads to Ascot while Those Tiger Feet heads to Wincanton. Tomorrow Lady Of The Night and Ajero head to Market Rasen. For my thoughts on all their chances please click here.

The current Champion jockey has a rare ride for me today when he rides Those Tiger Feet.. I very much hope that Brian Hughes will break his duck for us.. he comes second far too often when he rides our horses!!

A fireman was working on the engine outside the station, when he noticed a little girl nearby in a little red wagon, with little ladders hung off the sides and a garden hose tightly coiled in the middle...

The girl was wearing a firefighter's helmet.

The wagon was being pulled by her dog and cat.

"That sure is a nice fire truck!" the fireman said with admiration.

"Thanks!" the girl replied.

The fireman looked a little closer and noticed the girl had tied the wagon to her dog's collar and to the cat's testicles.

The fireman said, "I don't want to tell you how to run your rig, but if you were to tie that rope around the cat's collar, I think you could go faster."

The little girl replied thoughtfully, "You're probably right, but then I wouldn't have a siren."

Todays non virus video nasty.
