Plus 17 and muggy when driving in.... thunderstorms on the way apparently.
Another late one from me so no blog and breakfast.
A second for Ami des Flots at Worcester, I have not had the debrief from the bosses but the result looks like a good run from her considering the weight she was giving to the winner. ....
Friday at Thorndale, the usual is happening with Graham Potts in for his weekly visit. We had the majority of John and Penny Perriss' horses back to the yard this week so the barns were looking pretty full when I walked up to feed Two For Gold his daily apple core.
Most of the horses have now had their first canters and I have not had to fill in any pages of the accident book so the staff are obviously riding well. This used to be the time of year I'd try and extend my holiday when I used to work in the yard, I wanted to get back on the horses after they had been in cantering for a while, I didn't like it when they were too fresh as I'd always fall off.
Not too much more to dicuss I'm afraid but we do have our final guest blogger tomorrow.... syndicate maestro Peter Kerr.
Have a great weekend...
