Plus 7 and raining when driving in.
Ajero winning at Market Rasen yesterday rather saved the weekend.
Ajero, who had a wind op after his last win at Kempton, was pretty impressive when winning the MansionBet handicap hurdle on ITV..(we like that).. On the whole he jumped well, although he made a hash of the last he was soon back on top and won well.
A welcome win for owners Julie and David Martin and Dan Hall.. and a big clap for buying this likeable half brother to Charbel Julie..
Ajero looks progressive but he has a preference for going right handed so we will see where we go after he has had a bit of a break..
Ajero has now won his last 3.. 4 starts ago Harry Cobden (good jockey that he is) did not have a very good day with his two rides for us that day!
Saturday was not so good.. Sadly Newtide broke a blood vessel and now will miss the rest of the season while Those Tiger Feet stopped too quickly to be just the awful ground at Wincanton… Champion jockey Brian Hughes has still to win a race at this Somerset racecourse..

Just when I thought that Cheltenham previews were a thing of the past..
I am zooming in with Cornelius Lysaght for a Cheltenham preview this eveing for Fitzdares.. Timings have been changed to accommodate Boris! God I hope he has some better news..Nobody has caught covid while being on the beach.. or outside!
