21st April 2016

Plus 3 and dry when driving in.

Thursday is our easy day with the horses.

Douglas and Sylvia Wilks were here third lot to see their KBRP horses Ascotdeux Nellerie and Silver Kayf.

Graham Potts our vet was in again for another visit..

We turned the first of our horses out to summer grass including Harry Topper, Queer Times and Derrintogher Bliss

Willie Mullins paid his first visit to Perth races yesterday. He had a first and second in the days big race..

Willie is trying to win the English Trainers title as well as the Irish one;  Well he has already won the Irish one. It would be some feat. His battle with Paul Nicholls has certainly added spice to the last few days of the Jumps season… The 2015/2016 jumps season finishes on Saturday at Sandown.

I was meant to have been in London last night to attend the Turf Club Racing Committee’s drinks party.. The Turf Club leased half of Pulling Power from Sandra Steer Fowler during the winter..

Sadly I could not go as it was Archie’s last night at home and we wanted to take him out to supper (131 was excellent).

If there was good news from last nights miss it was the fact that TNDGB represented me.. TNDGB was seen ever circling/cruising/ smoothing around the many guests kindly recommending that they should have another jumper with me for next season.

The Queen at 90.. What a remarkable Lady. Racings honour to have her as our Patron. She just loves her racing..

Talking racing we have two runners this afternoon/evening.

I am heading to Warwick and then going to Cheltenham to look at horses that are going through the ring at Tattersalls Cheltenham Sales. The sale is tomorrow.

At Warwick we run Sugar Loaf Sholto and at Market Rasen this evening we run Faerie Reel.. For my thoughts on their respective chances please click here.

David Bass is in London this morning.. He used his stick too many times (by 3) on the long run in at Aintree on The Last Samuri when second in the Crabbies Grand National.. Did you Notice? I did not, but the stewards did..David could be banned for a while..

Yesterday I noted these headlines in The Daily Telegraph (It must be true) Shoppers short-changed on toilet paper in supermarket 'rip-off'

Hmmmmmmmm……………………….enough said!

Fresh from her shower, she stood in front of the mirror complaining to her husband that "my breasts are too small" .

Instead of romantically telling me this is not true, he uncharacteristically comes up with a suggestion: 'If you want your breasts to grow, then take a piece of toilet paper and rub it between them for a few seconds 3 times every day.'

Willing to try anything, I got a piece of toilet paper and stood in front of the mirror, rubbing it between my breasts. 'How long will this take?' I asked.

'They will grow larger over a period of years,' my husband replies.

I stopped. 'Do you really think rubbing a piece of toilet paper between my breasts 3 times every day will make my breasts larger over the years?'

Without missing a beat he said, 'Worked for your bum, didn't it?'

The idiot is still alive, and with a great deal of therapy, he may even walk again although he will probably continue to take his meals through a straw.

Stupid, stupid man.....
