Plus 5 and dry when driving in.  Then it rained..

Cheltenham Racecourse has its own magic ring and that is the circle where the first four head into after a race. Yesterday I had one very ecstatic owner whose homebred mare filled one of those spots..

I Spy A Diva won best turned out for looking so beautifully turned out by Erika and Leigh. We were so proud of the way she looked. Yes she might have been the forgotten horse in the field at 16/1 but she did not know that.. all she knew was that she had been powering up the gallops at home far better than she had all season.. spring can so often bring out huge improvement in Mares.

David Bass rode ISAD handily in the first 4 and jumping well, she gradually made her challenge and jumping the down hill hurdle (always a tricky one) in a close third she made her thrust for glory on the home bend coming to jump the last in a line of three, she tried her little heart out to win and so nearly did, but annoyingly she was then nabbed for second spot on the line.. She finished 3rd beaten a total of a length.. ISAD ran an absolute cracker.. it was her by far he best ever run and she picked up very welcome back type for her pedigree..

Back into that famous circle her owner breeder John Perriss was beside himself with joy.. He was so so proud of her..

ISAD had had a fantastic season and what a way to end.. John who has had a few frustrating runs recently had the biggest smile on his face.. All in all a wonderful days racing.

Last nights Tattersalls sales were predictable strong although we failed to add to our string.

Friday morning.

Neil and Jo Brooke were here third lot to see their KBRS horse General Hubble.
