Plus 4, foggy and again dry when driving in.

A winner for the Jockey Club and South West Racing Syndicate at Huntingdon yesterday.

Spring like conditions and a huge crowd welcomed Hes Ho Trouble back into the winners enclosure.

Hes No Trouble who is one of the three horses owned by the Syndicate was chosen by Simon Claisse last autumn to represent Cheltenham’s venture.

This former Irish pointer who was bought at their local Tattersalls sale last May is closely related to Looks Like Trouble ran an encouraging first race at Warwick but was too free so we dropped him back in trip, Jumping off in front he was never headed.

Happy teamn after.

Illuminated Beaty ran better than the form would suggest. She was very free early on and never really settled. Her wind is suspect, but having said that like Hes No Trouble a step back in trip might well see a different horse.

I was at the Tattersalls Cheltenham sale yesterday and yet again it was a show stopper. Top price was over 400K and I came away with lot 6 Donnie Brasco an English pointer winner who is a stunning model. This French bred horse sire is a full brother to Big Bucks..

Donnie Brasco should be on the racecourse within a month for anybody wanting instant fun.

John and Paul Benson were here second lot to see John's KBRP horses Arthurs Sixpence, Silver Kayf and Viddication.

Duncan Williams and his daughter Ella were here third lot to see his horse What A Baloo.

I am heading to Exeter while Mat heads to Warwick. We run Alfie Corbitt and Another Venture at Exeter and Lots Of Luck and Yeavering Belle at Warwick and for my thoughts on their chances please click here.

After 35 years of marriage, a husband and wife came for counselling.

When asked what the problem was, the wife went into a tirade listing every problem they had ever had in all the years they had been married. On and on and on: neglect, lack of intimacy, emptiness, loneliness, feeling unloved and unlovable, an entire laundry list of unmet needs she endured.

Finally, after allowing this for a sufficient length of time, the therapist got up, walked around the desk and after asking the wife to stand, he embraced and kissed her long and passionately as her husband watched - with a raised eyebrow.

The woman shut up and quietly sat down in a daze. The therapist turned to the  husband and said, "This is what your wife needs at least 3 times a week. Can you do this?"

"Well, I can drop her off here on Mondays and Wednesdays…………..but I go fishing on Fridays.

I had an email from Evelyn Faber, who along with his sister and brother in law Dickie and Arabella Stagg are staying in the foothills of the Himalayas and tomorrow night they are going to watch a T20 cricket match between Afghanistan and Ireland..
