It is going to be a glorious day?

Not so glorious was Masteen run yesterday. He should have finished second but David Bass rode him to win and that cost him what chance he had as he did not stay and he used what energy he had to try and run down the winner.. Disappointing

What was also disappointing was England’s performance against Sri Lanka. How did they lose that match..? They have now lst two matches and have put their semi final position in jeopardy.

Well today is the big day.. Younevercall heads to Royal Ascot to run in his first ever flat race. He goes there in great heart but he has never run on the flat in his life and frankly it is very hard to gauge what to expect.

The team of his KBRP owners will certainly have a day to remember win or lose. It is going to be fun and is that what racing and ownership is all about.

So he heads there while at Newmarket we run Sunblazer.. Yes a two pronged assault on the flat racing game today and then tomorrow we run Mergeela at Southwell, and for my thoughts on their chances please click here.
