Plus 17 and torrential rain when driving in this morning!

Kim as you know is away for a couple of days..

Carol Bailey was here this morning to see her KBRP horses Blazon and Mergeela..in the stable as we delayed riding out due to the heay rain..

What a miserable day, feeling sorry for all the staff working outside today. I remember all to well what it's like to ride out in weather like this and I certainly don't miss it! You'd have to change your clothes between every lot as although they say waterproof, they most definitely couldn't handle this amount of rain.

If you know of a brand of waterproof clothing which can keep you dry during this, please do send suggestions through...

This time last year, we were bathed in glorious sunshine and now it's that wet we can almost bathe in it!

So we had a few runners on the flat over the weekend, personally I am not a huge fan of the flat so am unable to comment but it looked like our owners and everyone else I saw attend had some great days racing. A brilliant excuse for all to pack away the tweed and put on some bright coloured clothing and fluffy head pieces.

I am sure the horses in the fields have had enough by now and it won't be long before they are all coming back in to start the new season. We also have the newly purchased youngsters to come back from Martin Jones, their progress will be exciting to watch this season.

We have a couple of movers in the handicaps charts with Masteen being given a mark of 110 over hurdles and Sunblazer down 4 to 69.

The answer to yesterdays question is very simple......He opens his mouth and asks for it...

Todays tale....

Husband (a doctor) and his wife are having a fight at the breakfast table.

Husband gets up in a rage and says, 'And you are no good in bed either,' and storms out of the house.

After some time he realizes he was nasty and decides to make amends and rings her up.

She comes to the phone after many rings, and the irritated husband says, 'What took you so long to answer the phone?'

She says, 'I was in bed.'

'In bed this early, doing what?'

'Getting a second opinion!..'
