0 degrees and dry when driving in.

Pay The Pilot.. Great name for a horse, especially when you fly..

Anyway Pay The Pilot who was placed in a bumper in Ireland this time last year, won well on his first start over hurdles at Ffos Las for Julie and David Martin and Dan Hall.. A typical David Bass ride .. From the front and never headed.

Sadly our other runner Glancing Glory was again disappointing and pulled up when looking like she was going well.. Too many horses this season have done the same and nothing has come to light.

I walked Ludlow and was pleased to see it was genuinely good ground, but that was not soft enough for Hamilton Dici as he would not let himself down on the ground..He finished 4th, but beaten a fair way..

It was a like a summers day at Ludlow and they had a charity lunch in the glass fronted marquee.. Many country folk turned up in tweed.. something they were soon to regret I fear!

Thursday morning and an easy day.

We do have a runner at Huntingdon.. Ajero heads there and for my thoughts on his chances please click here.

Sad to read about  the death of Jimmy Lindley.. A wonderful jockey..

The Third Test starts later in Grenada.

This bit of news will not go down with Nicholls and Henderson!!.. It will mean for a very competitive Aintree..

This is certainly not good news..

Is this how you felt last night.. needing a scotch!

To finish .. Happy birthday to team member and budding point to point rider Lauren Hawkins..And to ex trainer and now leading owner Charlie Dingwall.
