Plus 8 and dry when driving in… Yes it looks like another dry week ahead!
A good weekends racing on the jump side.
Forgotten Hero who ran at Doncaster ran like a horse who needed a holiday.
We rather suspected that might be the case but ran all the same.. he should come down a few pounds now and that will make a big difference when he returns after his winter break.
FH has not had a break for the best part of 2 years, so he deserves one... He is back with his owners Julie and David Martin and will be deservedly spoilt.
Monday morning and very fresh horses.. Most are now fit and ready to go .. Their dancing shoes are on and their party suits ready but the invitations have ‘’dried up’’!
Charbel, Sunblazer, Mr Brinkley and Dueling Banjos all worked this morning.
Dry ground could play havoc to big race plans this week and as a result we will be entering The Last Samuri at Wetherby for Saturdays Charlie Hall Chase.. a race we won a couple of years back with Harry Topper.. It was heavy then!
The orginal plan was for The Last Samuri to go to Down Royal on November 5.. He still might but it will depend on who runs on Saturday.
Incidentally Harry Topper is well and worked for the second time last week.. He will be back in action by late November early December .. Bloody hope we have had some rain by then and no snow?
Is it just me or is The Racing Post the slowest web site to download?
I supposedly have better download speeds with Gigaclear than we ever did with BT. But I cannot click on horses form and see it download.. it just freezes. It just cant or wouldn't download.
Everything else seems faster now.. On the other hand if I go over to The Sporting Life site it is so fast that you blink you would miss the page turn... There must be a problem? Suggestions? Thoughts?
A Silly one for a Monday.
A blonde notices that her coworker has a thermos, so she asks him what it's for.
He responds, "It keeps hot things hot and cold things cold."
The blonde immediately buys one for herself. The next day, she goes to work and proudly displays it.
Her coworker asks, "What do you have in it?"
She replies, "Soup and ice cream."
