So worried was Solicitor Richard Davies that my PR efforts for tomorrows Cocklebarrow Races might be so successful that he, rather tongue in cheek, emailed me the following.

Dear Kim , A quick question if I may.

On Sunday I’m taking my eldest son Tom to the Gloucestershire U-17’s rugby trail, which is at Oxstalls Sports Park, Longford, just down from the Air Balloon before the motorway, and normally I’d go via Andoversford.

It’s at 9.30 am,and obviously I don’t want to be late!

Do you think the roads will be potentially gridlocked around then because of the point-to-point, and I would be better off going via Cheltenham, and down the motorway (although it could also be very busy that way too)?

I see gates open at 9 am.

Maybe I’m just being paranoid.....

No Richard you are not.. But those going could always dump some money in the RDA buckets.. another good cause..Please note the Gloucester RDA branch Chairwoman..
