Plus 14 and dry when driving in. A warm start to a late October morning.

This morning we worked Laval Noir and The Last Samuri. Tom Bellamy was in to ride Laval Noir

Sue Edwards, Peter Morris, Hannah Ashton, Fiona and Poppy Turner were here for a morning on the gallops followed by breakfast.. A charity morning.

I am always asked by charities for an auction prize and this is one of many I donate during the year..

Third lot Helen Hibbert, Caroline and Louise joined us. Helen was here to see her KBRP horses Milord and Chateau Robin.

This weeks movers and shakers in the BHA handicap charts are..Another Venture down 3 to 124, Thumb Stone Blues down 1 to 132 and Trojan Star down 2 to 101.

"Say, what's your name?" the bartender asked the first duck.

"Huey," was the reply.

"How's your day been, Huey?"

"Great. Lovely day. Had a ball. Been in and out of puddles all day. What else could a duck want?" said Huey

"Oh. That's nice," said the bartender. He turned to the second duck, "Hi, and what's your name?"

"Dewey," came the answer from duck number two.

"So how's your day been, Dewey! ?" he asked.

"Great. Lovely day. I've had a ball too. Been in and out of puddles all day myself. What else could a duck want?"

The bartender turned to the third duck and said,

"So, you must be Louie?"

"No," she said batting her eyelashes, "My name is Puddles."
