Plus 3 and dry when driving in.
Sore heads after last night staff Christmas party.
Ascot on Saturday was pretty full for a jumps meeting. I know I have said it before but they do that Christmas meeting so well.
Our runners might not have won but they gave their owners a great day out and both ran with credit.
Newtide, who is probably the biggest horse in the yard, found the track hard to cope with.. down hill and turning he looked very unsure of what to do.
This huge horse rather struggled, but once he turned in to the straight he was on an even keel and ran through tired horses to nearly pick second.. yes he finished third and was posted by the Racing Post as a chaser in the making and a horse to follow when doing so.
Younevercall was never going to like the ground but having said that when he hit the front turning for home he made a few of his owners hearts tick a bit quicker.. Sadly that was as far as he went and he tired and finished down the field.. He ran a great race and one that showed he will be winning a big one when ground conditions suit..
His happy team of owners really enjoyed their day..In fact all my owners enjoyed Ascot.. Both days.
No racing now till Boxing Day..
Braw Angus jumped fences.. it was fairly dark..
Graham Potts our vet was in today rather than tomorrow... not sure why!
Good to talk to son Harry.. Sydney and Christmas Day will be a BBQ on the beach..A you do?
How Adam Got Eve...Nothing like a good Bible story to make your day.
Adam was hanging around the garden of Eden feeling very lonely.
So, God asked him, "What's wrong with you?"
Adam said he didn't have anyone to talk to.
God said that He was going to make Adam a companion and that it would be a woman.
He said, "This pretty lady will gather food for you, she will cook for you, and when you discover clothing, she will wash it for you.
"She will always agree with every decision you make and she will not nag you, and will always be the first to admit she was wrong when you've had a disagreement.
"She will praise you!
"She will bear your children, and never ask you to get up in the middle of the night to take care of them.
"She will NEVER have a headache and will freely give you love and passion whenever you need it."
Adam asked God, "What will a woman like this cost?"
God replied, "An arm and a leg."
Then Adam asked, "What can I get for just a rib?"
Of course the rest is history!!!!
Have a very happy Christmas..The Chrsitmas Story
