Plus 9 and drizzling when driving in.

Rose To Fame winning last night at Taunton was number 48 for the season..48 not out with three overs to go before stumps..!

Our jumps season ends at Sandown on Saturday..

John Perriss and I left here yesterday morning in bright sunshine and as we drove down the M5 it started to rain and that it did for most of our touring day. (needed)

We travelled to Dorset, a part of the country I had not been to before and then onto Devon. Two stunning areas and we saw some interesting horses who will, and will not be heading to The Tattersalls Cheltenham sales tomorrow.

It had stopped raining by the time we arrived at Taunton but the 6mm that had fallen had changed the ground from good to firm to good.

Rose To Fame certainly has loads of ability and when she wants to do the right thing she looks pretty useful. Last night she did a bit of everything; she was on and off the bridle, but she did jump well and that was what made the difference.

She flew that last three hurdles wand won nicely by a couple of lengths and finished far further ahead of the horse that was second to her last time at Ludlow.. yes all in all we were thrilled with her, and it was MOPS race to boot, which doubled the owners prize money.

Owner breeders Nicholas and Cherry Jones and Tom and Jane Wilson were on hand to pick up the winning trophy.. Taunton looked after us well.. A good winning experience..

John and I arrived home in time for supper, and a strong drink… to celebrate of course..

Thursday is our easy day.

I am heading into Cheltenham to have a look at some of horses that sell there tomorrow and then onto Warwick . We run Robin The Raven there and for my thoughts on his chances please click here.

Heard it before.. but..
