If ever Great British Racing PLC wanted some good news then they had it in abundance last week at Royal Ascot.. It was an extraordinary week.

Fabulous good old British summer weather. Wonderful racing with a winner from America and winners from Ireland and from the UK.. sadly those who came from France, Hong Kong, Germany, Sweden and Australia failed to produce a winner but they were there and it was the making of a very successful week.

But the highlights were undoubtedly The King and Queen having a winner as they patronage to our sport is so important. And Frankie Dettori on his retirement year with a Gold Cup and other winners.. Frankie is the best known racing sportsman.. his presence is huge and will be until he hangs up his boots…..

We have so many good positive moments to look back on and of course we were blessed by it being brought to us ITV, ATR and NBC.

Glastonbury.. Chrissie Hynde 71.. Cat Stevens 74.. Elton John 76.. Debbie Harry 77, Candi Staton 83..who will be singing in 2075?

Richard and Sheila Mordan, Angelo and Lisa Sanniti and Kevin and Colette were here to see their KBRS horses Design Icon, Phantom Getaway and Lets Go Amigo.

Clare and I are down to one car!!..I am or will be heading to Southwell when I can..
