Plus 7 and dry when driving in. Another night in the tropics..

It was not to be.. Sunblazers winning run came to an end in front of a huge crowd at Lingfield. 10,000 people crammed in to watch the all weather championships..

Sunblazer, who won best turned out (as did both the day before), just did not fire.. He bounced out of the stalls far quicker than normal and as a result was always too handy. Not that was really an excuse as I think he now needs a break. Sunblazer has been on the go for well over a year and a bit of grass will do him some good.

Norman Carter who had taken a box for his family and friends had a good day all the same.. There will be other days for us all.

The traffic to Lingfield was horrendous. The M25 was almost stationary and in places the other side was a giant car park. Lingfield could not cope with the parking of so many people and it took me an hour to do the last mile. You can always tell when a racecourse is overloaded as there are more women in the Gents than in the Ladies…

David Bass was in for a couple of lots this morning before heading to Haydock.

Two weeks tomorrow is when the annual Cotswold point to point takes place..For more infornmatiuon on the 'Andoversford Races' please click here.

I am no longer Clerk Of The Course at our local point to point, but it will still be brilliant day without me!!

The Italian Wedding Test

I was a very happy man.My wonderful girlfriend and I had been dating for over a year. So we decided to get married. There was only one little thing bothering me.

It was her beautiful younger sister, Sofia. My prospective sister-in-law was twenty-two, wore very tight miniskirts, and generally was braless. It had to be deliberate, as she never did it around anyone else.

One day she called me and asked me to come over, 'To check my sister's wedding invitations' she said. She was alone when I arrived. She whispered to me that she had feelings and desires for me. She couldn't overcome them anymore.

She told me that she wanted me just once before I got married. Well, I was in total shock, and I couldn't say a word. She said, "I'm going upstairs to my bedroom if you want one last wild fling, just come up and have me".

I was stunned and frozen in shock as I watched her go up the stairs. I stood there for a moment, then made a bee-line straight to the front door. I opened the door, and headed straight towards my car.

To my shock, my entire future family was standing outside, all clapping! With tears in his eyes, my father-in-law hugged me.

He said, 'Paulie, we are very happy that you have passed our little test. We couldn't ask for a better man for our daughter. Welcome to the family my son!'

And the moral of this story is:

Always leave your condoms in your car..

Have a great Easter weekend.
